About the PEI Boating Festival
More than just a race, the PEI Boating Festival is a celebration built around a shared love of boating, great parties, and time well spent with new and old friends.
Held every two years on even-numbered years, the Around the Island Race provides offshore sailors with a premier alternative when the world-famous Marblehead Race is not taking place.
In odd-numbered years, Race the Straight takes centre stage, featuring challenging races like the overnight Shediac to Charlottetown Race and courses between Summerside and Charlottetown. In the years ahead, we look forward to collaborating with yacht clubs throughout the Northumberland Strait to create lasting traditions for future sailors.
Power Boats
Join in on the fun with your power boat! You can follow the action of the sailboat races, or cruise at your own pace. There are no rules or schedule for the powerboaters!
Around the Island Race Cruise
This 325 nautical mile journey in some of the warmest waters north of the Carolina’s around one of the most beautiful islands you will find anywhere.
